13 American coal miners are trapped two miles underground by an explosion.
3 children and 1 woman in Germany are also trapped under the roof
of an ice rink; 'Hundreds' of rescue workers
and sniffer dogs are searching for them
I dropped a few quotes from the BBC news page.
"No amount of snow should cause a roof to collapse," said one man, "and we've had more snow than this before."
"Questions are also being asked about why the local ice hockey team should have been told to cancel its scheduled practice on the day of the accident, but the ice rink remained open for the general public anyway. "
I'm sure these questions will be answered by 'experts' and believed, don't you just wish you we're an expert.
Anyway thats something I wrote to post on my mini site on the 4th of Jan whilst it was all unfolding.
Now can't anyone see the sense in just putting a chip in everyone so rescue workers can find them more easily with metal detectors. Haha madness, who knows what will come of this.
